Pottery and Wares
How do you make your products?
Our products are made out of stoneware, currently Standard Clay 112, and are thrown in small batches on a pottery wheel. Each piece is trimmed and glazed by hand.
Do you make ceramics for restaurants or cafes?
Yes, it would be our dream to work with restaurants or chefs directly to design wares that perfectly compliment your food, space and concept. Please contact NIMA to inquire about wares and pricing for your cafe, restaurant or project.
Orders

During the winter holiday season, NIMA Pottery also participates in a limited number of local (Northern VA) markets.
Can I order a custom piece?
Potentially! Contact NIMA Pottery with your request and for more details. Please note there is a minimum for custom orders and there could be additional fees for experimenting to find the exact piece you are after.
Care and Use
How do I care for my NIMA ware?
You can wash your ceramics by hand or in the dishwasher, unless otherwise noted. While each piece is made with durable stoneware clay and intended for every day use, they are still handmade and hand-washing will always give your piece the longest life.
Can I put NIMA ware in the microwave or oven?
You are able to microwave your ware unless otherwise noted, however this is a very harsh environment for the piece and can limit it's life. Please avoid using your piece in ovens as the extreme temperature change can cause stress cracks.
Shipping & Returns
Do you offer shipping for orders?
Yes, NIMA currently ships within the US. The shipping fee will be added at checkout. While we package each order with diligence, any breakages will be refunded.
What is our return policy?
Our goal is to create pieces you love, however if you would like to request a refund, please contact us within 14 days of receipt of your order, unless item was listed as final sale.
- To receive a full refund (less shipping cost), all wares and products in an order must be returned and arrive in the same condition in which they were sent. The return shipping will be the customer's responsibility.
- Returns without a contacting NIMA first will not be accepted and any products returned in this manner are considered forfeited and will not be returned to you or refunded.
